What do you do?

I just got off work after a 16 hour day and I am sitting in my living room watching a sappy Hallmark movie trying to wind down. But I am having trouble writing because I have seven fur babies in the house. Yes, seven. 2 dogs, a mama cat and her four kittens. Currently one of the kittens is sitting on my chest after fighting for my attention. She really didn't want me to type this. haha

So what do you do when you are distracted from doing what you are called to do? That is a very good question with many different answers - depending on who you are and what the situation is. However, everyone can have an excuse in order not to become who you are meant to be.

I guess this post is about not making excusing but, instead, digging in deep and getting what needs to be done, done.

Have a wonderful day,

Passion... Pass it on...

I am sitting here thinking of my son. My youngest, that is. For those of you who don't know I have two wonderful sons. I, as almost all parents are, am proud of my children. But I digress.

My youngest and I were in San Angelo, Texas and we attended a football arena game. The opposing team, who was from Alaska, needed someone to help with their team on the sidelines. You know, getting water, getting the ball off the field, towels, interacting with the players. My son was chosen at random. It was one of those times of being in the right place at the right time. Logan was having the time of his life.

After the game, Logan was invited to the locker room where he met all of the players and they all autographed a football for him. I remember talking with one of players. He was so excited and passionate about playing football. Once upon a time he was an NFL player who, due to injuries, was cut from the team. After healing, he started playing arena football. I remember a direct quote from him, “I would do anything to play. I love football. It is my life.”

Passion. It came through as he spoke to me about the one thing he loved.

So, this post is about: Find your passion. Live it. Love it. Share it. Pass it on.
