Today we get to see a glimpse into Marcy's life at home.
Marcy walked down the hall, stepped into her clothes littered bedroom, and grabbed her backpack and cellphone. She peered out her door and saw her mother in the living room, focused on the television. Marcy sneaked into her mother’s room and grabbed the crumpled five-dollar bill and assorted coins on the cluttered dresser.
She picked up the note that was lying beside the money and read, “Dianne, you were worth every penny. Until next time, Mark.”
“Ewww,” Marcy mumbled. But that would explain the extra food, her mom’s name brand cigarettes instead of the generic ones, and the cash in her pocket.
