Adventures of Cecilia Spark

So here it is, a guide to what’s happening now in my world of writing.

What is the working title of your book?

Journey to Freedom

Where did the idea come from for the book?

The American Civil War is one of the most interesting time

period in American History for me. I wanted to transfer what

real life was back then compared to today's life.
I wanted a book where individuals were focused on

individuals rather than the big picture. The book starts off

with two characters but quickly builds as more characters

What genre does your book fall under?

Journey to Freedom is a Christian Historical Novel.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

Almost a year.

What other books would you compare your story to?

Although there are many books in this era, it is hard to

compare this one too as it contains many different elements

in the story line.

Who or what inspired you to write this book?

The inspiration to write led me to think about what kind of

book I would like to write and this is what my imagination

plus research came up with Journey to Freedom

What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

In Journey to Freedom, you will find many issues addressed:

racism, discrimination, violence, love, sacrifice, the

underground railroad, war, health, death and prisons are a

few. In addition, some of my characters wrestle with God -

who is He? why He allows certain events to occur?
